The Beginning of a Legacy

Lieber & Solow was founded in 1927 when diamond dealers and cleavers Isaac Lieber and Zelman Solow joined forces in Antwerp, Belgium.

Late 1930s
As war spread across Europe in the late 1930s and Nazi forces occupied Belgium, the family made a decision to leave Antwerp. In 1940, they emigrated to New York, where they rebuilt the business and laid the foundation for the company’s next generation.
What began in the diamond district of Antwerp continued in Manhattan, carried forward through resilience, craftsmanship, and enduring family values.
